As a UX designer and product strategist, I’ve spent years crafting seamless digital experiences. But when it came to building a mobile app, I had zero coding experience. That changed when I challenged myself to build a real, functional iOS app in just 2 days — using AI. The result? Dubai Parking: The Easy Way — now live on the App Store.

The goal was clear: I wanted to simplify the everyday hassle of sending SMS messages for paid parking in Dubai. If you’ve ever struggled to remember your plate number, zone code, or parking expiry time, you know how frustrating the system can be.
So I asked myself:
What if I could create a simple app that stores your car plates and zones?
What if you could generate the correct SMS with a few taps?
What if the app reminded you when your ticket is about to expire?
With AI tools like ChatGPT, Swift code generation, and Apple’s developer platform, I built it. Every UI, logic, and feature — from local storage to Live Activities and SMS integration — came together in just 48 hours.

I used AI to guide every step — from designing the user interface in SwiftUI, integrating Apple’s MFMessageComposeViewController for SMS, to enabling Live Activities with Dynamic Island.
Every technical question I had — from storing data locally to handling timers — was answered by AI in real time. This project became proof that with the right guidance and curiosity, you don’t need to be a developer to build powerful mobile apps.
