Whether you’re a resident or a visitor, the app offers a clean, easy-to-use interface to help you stay on top of your parking activity—track session times, get reminders, and avoid accidental overstays.
Designed with convenience in mind, Dubai Parking makes it easier to stay informed and organized, giving you peace of mind every time you park.
I designed the Dubai Parking app with a focus on simplicity, speed, and real-world convenience. The goal was to solve a daily problem—managing parking in Dubai—by creating an intuitive interface that lets users track sessions, set reminders, and avoid fines. Every screen was crafted to reduce friction, mimicking the ease of sending an SMS but with a smarter, more modern experience.
This app is a personal learning project, built from scratch to explore iOS development, UI/UX design, and real-time user interaction.
The development of the Dubai Parking app was a hands-on learning journey where I actively leveraged AI tools like ChatGPT to speed up ideation, generate Swift code, debug errors, and refine UI/UX decisions. From building the SMS logic to implementing Live Activities and local notifications, AI served as a real-time coding assistant—helping me bring the app to life faster, with cleaner code and a better user experience.
This project is a true example of how AI can empower solo developers to build smart, functional apps with real-world impact.
The Dubai Parking app was created to simplify a common urban task—paying for and tracking parking in Dubai. Instead of manually sending SMS commands and tracking expiry times, the app allows users to select their plate, zone, and duration, then generates a prefilled SMS for easy submission. Once sent, the app starts a live countdown to show how much time is left on your session—so you never lose track again.
It’s a smart, lightweight tool designed for convenience, clarity, and peace of mind.
